Everyone - regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity - has the right to live safely, without fear and to participate fully in all aspects of life. Being attacked or insulted is horrible to anyone, but being attacked and harassed for who you are is even more severe and leaves you feeling vulnerable. Homophobic and transphobic crimes are unacceptable. Not condemning them fuels fear of LGBT people and increases discrimination against them.
